Responsible travel
Sustainability & community impact
Kenya's wildlife and wild places are why we exist. We try to make every trip good for the people and places you visit.
What we do
Kenyan guides and team
Our guides and planners are Kenyan, so the money you spend on guiding and planning stays in Kenya.
Kenyan-owned camps
Where we can, we choose Kenyan-owned camps and lodges that employ and buy locally.
Community conservancies
We favour stays in community conservancies, where tourism fees go to the landowners who protect the wildlife.
Small groups, respectful distances
Vehicles reserved for your group, and guides who follow park rules on distance, noise and staying on tracks.
Less plastic
Kenya has banned single-use plastic bags. We encourage refillable bottles and keep waste out of the parks.
Optional cultural visits
Village and community visits are always optional. Ask us how a visit is arranged and where the fee goes before you decide.
How you can help
- Bring a refillable water bottle and pack in reusable bags.
- Ask before photographing people, and respect a no.
- Never feed wildlife, and keep your voice low near animals.
- Ask us for eco-conscious camps or a conservancy stay when you plan.
- Buy crafts directly from makers, and tip guides and camp staff fairly.
Plan a lower-impact trip
Tell us it matters to you, and we'll suggest conservancy stays and camps that give back.
