About this tour
Amboseli is famous for two things: some of Africa's largest elephant herds, and Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind them across the border in Tanzania. On a clear morning, the view of elephants walking through the swamps with the snow-capped peak behind is one of the best sights in East Africa.
Over three days you have time for several game drives, a walk up Observation Hill for a view across the park, and slow afternoons watching elephants bathe in the Enkongo Narok swamp. You'll also see zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, hippos and plenty of birdlife, and with luck lions and cheetahs.
The mountain is clearest early in the morning and around sunset, so our game drives are timed to match. All meals at the lodge are included.
Itinerary

Day 1
Nairobi to Amboseli
Morning pick-up and a drive south through the Kajiado plains. Lunch at the lodge, then an afternoon game drive with your first views of Kilimanjaro, if the clouds allow.

Day 2
A full day in Amboseli
A sunrise game drive for the clearest mountain views, back for breakfast, then out again to the swamps and Observation Hill. Afternoon game drive until sunset.

Day 3
Morning game drive and return
One last early drive, breakfast and check-out, then the drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.

Free cancellation up to 30 days before departure. Cancellations 8–29 days before departure are refunded 50% of the tour price; cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. Park fees and train tickets already paid to third parties may not be recoverable. Date changes are free up to 14 days before departure, subject to availability.
