About this tour
Diani is regularly named one of Africa's best beaches: miles of white coral sand, palm trees and calm, turquoise water protected by an offshore reef. It's the perfect way to unwind after a safari, or a short break on its own.
This package takes care of everything from Nairobi. Ride the Madaraka Express train to the coast — a comfortable five-hour trip that often passes wildlife in Tsavo — and our driver will meet you in Mombasa for the transfer to Diani. You then have two nights full board at a beachfront resort such as Leopard Beach Resort or similar.
Fill your days with as much or as little as you like: swim, snorkel, try kitesurfing, visit the Colobus Conservation centre, or add our dhow trip to Wasini Island and the Kisite marine park to swim with dolphins. Prices are lower outside the peak Christmas and Easter seasons.

Day 1
Train to the coast
Board the morning Madaraka Express in Nairobi. Arrive in Mombasa in the early afternoon, where our driver meets you for the transfer to Diani. Check in and relax on the beach.

Day 2
A day at Diani
A free day to enjoy the beach and the resort. Optional extras include snorkelling, a glass-bottom boat, a visit to Colobus Conservation, or a full-day dhow trip to Wasini Island.

Day 3
Return to Nairobi
A last morning swim and breakfast, then the transfer to Mombasa Terminus for the afternoon train back to Nairobi.

You travel on the Madaraka Express train from Nairobi to Mombasa; we meet you at Mombasa Terminus and drive you to Diani. Flight packages cost more and are available on request.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 30 days before departure. Cancellations 8–29 days before departure are refunded 50% of the tour price; cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. Park fees and train tickets already paid to third parties may not be recoverable. Date changes are free up to 14 days before departure, subject to availability.
