About this tour
Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhinos: both black and white rhinos live inside its fenced sanctuary, alongside endangered Rothschild's giraffes, buffalo, lions and, when the water is right, flocks of flamingos along the shore.
This short safari suits travellers with only a weekend to spare. You leave Nairobi in the morning, are on a game drive by lunchtime, and spend the night at a lodge with all meals included. The next morning brings a second drive, a stop at Baboon Cliff for the view over the lake, and Makalia Falls before you return to Nairobi.
The price is for a private safari in our 4x4 and includes a comfortable lodge stay. Ask us about mid-range options if you'd like to bring the price down.
Itinerary

Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
Morning pick-up and a three-hour drive north-west, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Check in for lunch, then spend the afternoon on a game drive looking for rhinos, giraffes and lions along the lakeshore.

Day 2
Baboon Cliff, Makalia Falls and return
Early game drive and breakfast, then up to Baboon Cliff for the view over the lake and on to Makalia Falls. Leave the park around midday and arrive back in Nairobi by late afternoon.

Free cancellation up to 30 days before departure. Cancellations 8–29 days before departure are refunded 50% of the tour price; cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.
